Wednesday: Play - Richard III

I caught a writers block Wednesday morning and so went across the street to Kensington Gardens to  walk it out. I walked an hour.

Found Peter Pan's Statue

Peter Pan and Company

Another selfie
and some parakeets who have made a home in the park. A nice gentleman shared his bird feed with me and I had a few come down and eat out of my hand, but as soon as I lifted my camera they flew back to the branches.
Can you see the bird?
They will come to you, just wait a bit

This gut was waiting for the left-overs
I also found some amazing architural projects on my way back. They are so cool! Look at the lines these artists are experimenting with!

I was able to finish working on my presentation when I returned to the flat, and then took a nap. It was another hot and humid day.

That evening we traveled to Islington to see Richard the Third in the Alemeida Theatre.

Richard III with Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave

It was fantastic! If you don't know, Ralph Fiennes (Richard III) is Voldemort and Vanessa Redgrave has been doing film and theatre since the fifties. Mom, she is Guenevere from the Camelot we used to watch in Oklahoma.
The set itself was bare, and the production started with a scene of the modern day scientists uncovering Richard's grave in a car park. Then the play started and I was swept away by the story. Wonderful acting!

On the way home a few of us stopped at Platform 9 3/4 again, because it was after 11 pm at night and no-one would be around.

This is me trying to force the barrier!

Didn't work

  1. You don't force it. You walk straight through the wall. ;)
