Sunday: King John Production

This Sunday was a quiet day. We were scheduled for a matinee showing of King John.

None of the pictures below have anything to do with this day or the play, but since I took no pictures on this day, I thought I would just choose some I had taken from other days and places.

The Albert Memorial - from the west

Stairs leading to the highest chamber in the Sheldonian Theatre - where all Commencements and Matriculation's are held in Oxford

Remember the Palm Fronds used during Christ's Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem? You will now!

Paddington Train Station, but they really all look similar.

I think this was a monument in Inner Temple Hall by Middle Temple Hall

They do know how to decorate and maintain the church decor.

On the way to St Paul' s Cathedral I saw this interesting emblem above a door.

London's Tower - what more can I say?

That is a good picture over the Thames

Westminster Abbey, an inner yard, and yes, it is raining outside.

Crowns are everywhere in the city.

Approaching Big Ben in the top of a double-decker bus. A new way to see the city!

Inside a beautiful theatre, just the picture quality didn't capture the blues and pinks

This was a political play and the theatre was in the town of Kingston, just downriver of Hampton Court Palace. It was a beautiful day, but hot and humid. The river was clear and there were a lot of people outside enjoying the sunshine.
