Monday Visit to Kew Gardens

So you know what Zoo's are like in the States? Well, Kew gardens is like a zoo, only with trees and plants. It is a huge area, and I only got to see perhaps the lower fourth this trip.

The gardens are in this quiet suburb to the west of London main.

The weather was beautiful, warm and sunny! After a brief introduction to the gardens by Tim, we were allowed to wander wherever. I spent over an hour snapping pictures,
Cindy under a tree. "Smile!"
laying on the grass, and just walking. I found the tree used for the Whomping Willow in the Harry Potter films
Old Man Willow
and another used in a BBC production of 'As You Like It' starring Helen Mirrin in the '80's. It was fun, and I kept seeing groups of my fellow students in the distance! One of the fun hings was all the birds. you could tell it was spring because the youngsters were all over the place!

It was another long day, but when we got back I made a quick trip to the closest grocery store and stocked up on some essentials. It finally started to rain around 5 pm, but a dry drizzle and warm.

  2. Don't let the ugly ducklings near the whomping willow. It's ornery.
